The Ideal Protein method we utilize at BonVie is known as a rapid and safe weight loss method. The Ideal Protein protocol gives you the tools to lose body fat fast but also ensures you will not regain that hard-earned weight loss.

Average Weight Loss

Typically, women lose 2 to 4 lbs a week and men lose 3 to 5 pounds per week. That is, of course, by following the protocol precisely. Ideal Protein is a scientific method and if you follow it as designed, you will lose weight!

Here is an example of how much you will lose. Let’s say you have 20 lbs to lose. If you are a woman it will take 5-10 weeks and 4 to 7 weeks for a man. If you have 40 lbs to lose it will take you10-20 weeks as a woman and 8 to13 weeks for a man.

Why do men lose fat faster? Not fair you say? I know… But it’s because men have more muscle and, if you have been watching our videos you know that muscle uses fat for fuel. That’s why we are always monitoring your ratio of muscle to fat, your protein intake, physical activity, and your ratio of muscle to fat.

Tools for Success

Several factors guarantee that this method will work for you. First of all, is the support of your BonVie certified Ideal Protein coach. At your first visit, we do an in-depth Initial Consultation and give you a solid framework of the physiology of fat gain and fat loss, and walk you through the details of following the program successfully. Then you come for brief 20 minute weekly check-ins, where we discuss your former week’s challenges and successes and strategize for managing the week to come to keep you in fat-burning mode. And of course, we do measurements on our body composition monitor.

Food Journal

One of the tools we provide you to be most successful is a food diary. This simple tracking makes a huge difference in getting to your goal the fastest. The NIH did a study showing that people who wrote down what they ate on a diet in a food diary lost 50% more weight than those who did not. Think of that as 50% faster, or 50% cheaper!

Hydration

Yep, simple H2O makes a big difference in how quickly you will lose weight. We give you the tools to make drinking water an easy and desirable habit. For instance, suggestions for flavoring water, using sparkling water and seltzer in place of alcohol, and keeping track of just how many ounces of water you drink each day.

If You Platea

At some point, most everyone experiences a plateau. The good news is that we have a number of methods to get you “unstuck”. Your coach will give you a series of options to get you back into fat-burning mode! Often it's just a matter of "shaking up" your pancreas. And always, we are scrutinizing your food diary to be sure there has not been a slip into old habits.
